Instructors of undergraduate courses struggle to use the learning management system (LMS) to accommodate all students. In this half day workshop, Dr. Friesem will provide case studies and digital tools to address the perception, expression and engagement of all students. Based on extensive brain research Universal Design for Learning (UDL) provide a framework to offer multiple ways of representation, expression, and engagement. With tools such as LEGO®, video annotations, screencasting, online reflection tool, and collaborative writing, participants will explore how each tool can provide access to all students. By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to apply the tools to their own LMS in their undergraduate class.
