Blazing a Trail for Technology, Making, and Design for the Littles: Preschool-Kindergarten Students

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.

This hands on workshop will walk attendees through specific projects that they as educators can do with Preschool-Kindergarten aged students. These projects can serve as building blocks in the creation of a meaningful introduction to Maker Empowerment, Coding and Technology Design program that incorporates literacy and reading standards for young students, or these projects can serve as additions to an already robust program. Attendees will use a variety of age appropriate robots, apps, and work with LEGOs to build knowledge and experience for introducing these concepts to young students through storytelling. The presenters will also provide examples of other projects attendees can use with their young students, in addition to the hands-on activities they will engage with during the half day workshop.
