Success and Failure of Hybrid (Self-Paced) Learning

In my self-paced classroom (HS Alg 1 and Geometry) this year I have created time for both learning content through a self-paced model along with time for students to do creative, critical thinking projects.

In this session I will give an overview of my self-paced classroom and some of the projects that students have done. I will also discuss the successes and failures of the year to date and end with open discussion and questions on topics.

This is my 4th year of teaching and will be my 2nd year of doing self-paced instruction. The school that I teach at is smaller, 264 students, and I teach Algebra 1 and Geometry. Our school is 1:1 with Chromebooks and teachers have both a Chromebook and IPad.
