Maker Faires are held throughout the world to celebrate invention, creativity, and resourcefulness. We took a chance on hosting a School Maker Faire and the response was overwhelming! We filled the middle school gymnasium with 44 exhibits which showcased student projects, local makers, and community organizations that inspired our students and other visitors. Exhibitors were able to share what they’ve learned and created with others, and visitors were able to see what kinds of creative projects their peers enjoy working on. They were also able to try out some tools and skills they may not normally get the opportunity to use such as metal etching, soldering, and button making. Learn all about how we planned, organized, and staged our 1st School Maker Faire.
