We use our computers for a lot of things, but not often for the thing they do best--communicate! Kids type, google, and play games, but they don’t get to see the incredible opportunities offered by our ability to communicate with people a world--or a state--away.

Attend this workshop and walk away with a list of resources for virtual field trips and mentorship opportunities. These include connections to scientists, authors, and journalists as well as other classrooms.

Work with fellow teachers to develop standards-based lessons that take advantage of connections to far-away people and places.
