ARTEC: Arts and Technology Across the Curriculum

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
Students share the ways the ARTEC grant has allowed them to engage with technology and the arts to support their learning. Students will share podcast samples, stop-motion videos, and multimedia products that they used in the classroom to reflect their learning in all subjects. Projects include a social studies project focusing on Illinois history with an interactive map, a science project using both Makey Makey and Scratch in their models, as well as a math stop-motin movie demonstrating knowledge of equivalent fractions.

Both teachers are participating in a grant written to bring all aspects of the arts, as well as technology, into the classroom to support student learning. Rather than teaching apps for the sake of teaching them, we are blending digital with tangible production to allow students to more fully explore the subjects they study.
