Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Participants will use 5 apps (DoInk, Notebook, Seesaw, (opt.Garageband), Flipgrid and Edpuzzle) to explore and establish strategies, skills, and tools that elementary general music teachers may use to integrate technology seamlessly into lessons, activities, assessments and grading. This session demonstrates the Orff Schulwerk model that integrates music, movement/dance, speech, and as a synthesis of the performing arts, within the context of a 21st century educational framework. This optimizes instructional time, includes class management, advocates and incorporates student choice, develops collaboration and communication skills along with awareness and empathy for self and others, while stimulating creativity and providing opportunities for individual strengths to be used and recognized. Templates and strategies to measure student growth and proficiency through ongoing assessments will be discussed. The skills developed through the Orff Schulwerk can have lifelong implications in creating growth mindset and developing resilient and responsible global citizens for the future.
