Apple believes that “Every learner is a creator” so come learn how we can make our youngest learners just that. But wait...how can we be mindful of positive early childhood development and keep iPads from being “babysitters” in the primary classroom? We will learn about research on coding, computational and design thinking and how it relates to the SAMR model of tech integration for the young learner. Discover how to create a more student-directed learning environment with apps and other non-tech devices that will engage and empower students in all aspects of the K-2 Curriculum. We will explore ways to effectively manage iPads in the classroom and learn how to make the accessibility features come alive for ALL learners. Come, think and create with us!
