Teachers and Administrators new to or just starting out on social media platforms Twitter and Instagram will learn the benefits of creating professional accounts and using their online presence as a communication tool within their school community as well as a collaboration tool with fellow educators. This session will also introduce the basics of how and why to set up Twitter and Instagram accounts and provide opportunities to brainstorm ideas that will help them cultivate their online brand. Before leaving the session, participants will create their own Twitter and Instagram accounts, find subject-relevant people to follow, and tweet and post their first professional online messages.
