Our media-driven, image-saturated culture has changed how our students interpret and understand the world around them. Learn how to integrate visual literacy in your classroom by exploring instructional strategies and resources to help our students master these skills. We will focus on how to guide students in better analyzing primary and secondary sources, interpreting and evaluating imagery and learning to create engaging, informative and accurate visual graphics. In this course, participants will explore note-taking strategies including sketchnoting, how to construct research-based infographics and more. These strategies can enhance students understanding and engagement across all content areas.
