The late Steve Jobs once said that “a computer is like a bicycle for the mind.” Dr. Luis Perez has experienced first hand the power of technology as a tool for empowerment that levels the playing field and allows every learner to realize their full potential. In addition to sharing his personal journey as a learner who has benefited from advancements in technology, in this talk Luis will share some insights from the learning sciences that challenge all educators to think differently about ability and disability in order to create inclusive environments where all learners can find their own “adjustable seats for learning.”
