Mina Marien is a Google for Education Certified Trainer and technology integration specialist at Evanston Township High School (ETHS) in Evanston IL. She has also served as an instructor in the Master of Science in Education Program at Northwestern University, where she specializes in educational technology and leadership. She regularly attends and presents at educational conferences and works with local schools to provide training and professional development on leveraging technology to maximize teaching and learning. She specializes in Google Workspace, E-Learning, and Chromebooks but also has diverse experience with iPads and web tools. Before becoming a technology specialist, Mina served as an instructional coach for the World Languages department and taught Latin II through AP at ETHS. She also has experience working with Middle School students through her work as an associate teacher Baker Demonstration School.
Mina earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees at Northwestern University, where she studied Latin/Classics, Animate Arts (computer programming, digital art, and video game design), and Education. She also holds an advanced certificate in Educational Technology Leadership from DeVry University. She holds an Illinois teaching license with endorsements in Latin, Art, and Technology.
Mina was born and raised in Chicago, where she currently lives with her husband and two young sons. In her free she enjoys gardening, cooking, and beekeeping. She is also active in her community and serves as the president of the board and social committee chair for her local neighborhood organization.
