Dr. Phil Collins is the Chief Learning Officer for Otus. Otus is a Student Performance Platform that puts effective tools at the fingertips of teachers, students, administrators and families to make data actionable. Prior to coming to Otus, he was superintendent at Morton Grove School District #70, a K-8 school district with one school (Park View School) and approximately 850 students in the northern suburbs of Chicago. Before District 70, he was the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment in Glenview School District 34 for ten years. He has also been a K-5 elementary principal in Arlington Heights for seven years, technology director and middle school assistant principal in Mundelein for two years, and opened a science and technology magnet school in Rockford. He has been very involved in helping educators learn how to use data to inform instruction and implement best practices in assessment and instruction.
