I am celebrating my 20th year as a library information specialist! For the past 14 years, I have been employed in Barrington 220 as an elementary library information specialist. Prior to this, I worked in Iowa, first as a K-12 specialist for three years, and then as an elementary media specialist in Ankeny for 4 years.

My background includes an undergrad degree in elementary education with a reading endorsement, and a Master's Degree in library science from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa. In addition, I have experience in customer service and the book industry.

My passions include providing student centered learning experiences, guiding students in the selection of appropriate resources, and encouraging personal selections based on interest.
